Hard work

So I’m at day 8 of my clean 9 and it know tomorrow it all comes to an end…

That’s where he hard work comes into play, I’ll still be taking some supplements and stuff which is wonderful but I’m more concerned about the mental ability to change.

I think our heads rule our hearts when it comes to diet and exercise, in me heart I know I want to keep loosing and get to an ideal weight but when I see a biscuit my natural instincts go towards it, it’s social conditioning at its best.

I know that changing my mindset will help me win the over all battle of the bulge but I wonder has anyone else gone through similar? Do you have any hints or tips to share?

I know I plan to curb any snacking, obviously while I’ve been on the C9 there have only been limited snacks and they have been fruit and veg but I won’t be going for the chocolate etc.

I want to have 3 solid, nutritionally sound meals a day with enough calories

#clean9 day 6 results

Ok… It’s fair to say I am completely over the moon, excited, thrilled and chuffed.

I just weighed myself as per the clean 9 plan on day 6(today) and today I can proudly proclaim ‘I AM NO LONGER IN THE 18 STONE WEIGHT BRACKET’ that’s right no more 18st for me!!

On 12/1/15 I now weight 17st 11lbs!!!

I didn’t know how much I would weigh today if I’m honest, the programme is going so so well and I’m eating really clean foods but you never know what to expect.

I am so grateful to forever for this clean 9 because, for me, it’s the boost I needed to get me to a point where I can maintain my own weight on a daily basis.

I can’t honestly remember the last time I was in a 17st bracket so I am over the moon!!

Support for this blog has been huge – it’s now on it’s 6th day and to date I have had over 615 views and 30 followers ๐Ÿ™‚ so many kind and lovely people have offered words of advise and support which is awesome!

3 days left on the clean 9 and then I go it alone ๐Ÿ˜€ the journey isn’t over!

Peace

MYChoreograher – Personal training session, how did I get on?

So today I headed off nice and early to Revue Dance Studios in my local town of Swansea where the owner, Stacey, had offered me some free personal training sessions to help me along with my weight loss and healthy lifestyle journey, which is amazing and I really appreciated that.

The thought of spending an hour alone, in a space, with someone who I knew was going to work me hard kind of filled me with dread so I did what anyone else would do and tried to rope all my mates in, of course they found suitable excuses as to why they couldn’t attend, so I faced the fact it was just me…Alone…

So what is it?ย Well MYChoreographer is personal training but not as you know it, it’s a session with a dance choreographer which includes dance workouts, fitness exercises and also dance routines,ย even with a performing background dance isn’t my strongest point but as I learnt that didn’t matter, it was about the body moving and working out every muscle in a full body work-out.

So before the session Stacey asked me what I wanted to achieve, why I was doing it and what my goals were etc and after that we got into a dance studio to start.

What I liked about this workout is it didn’t feel like a workout, now I don’t mean I didn’t feel it working, because I REALLY did, but it was fun and broken down into manageable chunks instead of insane workouts that leave you needing to throw up. Everything you would expect from a personal training session was included, warm ups, stretches, reps of exercises but it was all done to some great music and Stacey was a great motivator keeping me going through the whole thing.

The experience was amazing, I really enjoyed it and it was nice to feel my body again (not in a rude way, dirty people) but to feel muscles stretch and move and generally to see myself being mobile and active. This type of workout is ideal for someone who doesn’t like the formality of a gym, the intensity and embarrassment than can sometimes come with attending a fitness class with others, those who want to be pushed and those who want to have a bit of fun, because without the fun element, for me anyway, I would be finished.

Prices are very reasonable and I would recommend people go and give it a try, alternatively if you want just a dance class they have LOADS of them, who knows with a bit more weight loss Iย might give them a go as well.

I’m really looking forward to my next session, so that in itself is a success!

Below are some pictures

Peace

This is so exciting for me and really is spurring me on, I never want to go back up in weight and I know this clean 9 programme will kick me into action for a healthier lifestyle ๐Ÿ™‚

This is just the beginning and I have tough times ahead and a lot more work to do, especially after the clean 9 ends but I’m more dedicated now than I ever have been!!

Happy Friday!!

Overwhelmed…

This is just a quick post to say thank you!

I am so overwhelmed by the response of this blog from family, friends and complete strangers. In just 24 hours from launching it I have had 250 views, 10 followers and lots of comment activity.

This might not sound that impressive for the more seasoned blogger but to me this is amazing and compels me to continue creating content for this blog๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

The response I have had has been nothing but positive and I’ve even had personal training classes given to me for free by the MYChoreographer Swansea, a company based out of Revue Dance Studios (revuestudios.co.uk) which is going to be amazing and I will be sure to blog about my experience after it on Saturday!

Today I am on DAY 2 of my clean 9 and feeling pretty awesome ๐Ÿ˜Š we are off to Cardiff today visit STA travel to get the itinerary sorted for our 6 month trip, we know we are starting with the Dragon Tour of China and we have a vague idea where we want to go from there but the guys down there are so good at their jobs I highly recommend you going down to see them for all your travel needs!

I’ll catch up with you all later

Peace x

Clean 9 – Day One, DONE!!!ย

And the final lot of Aloe is done(for today)!!

Okay so today i started the first day of my 9 day cleanse, for those of you who aren’t familiar with a clean 9 it is a cleanse programme developed by Forever Living Products which is designed to rid your body of toxin and the side effect being weight loss in most cases.

Now a lot of people have a lot of strong opinions on the clean 9 programme and it’s effectiveness, i can testify that the programme is amazing, this is the second time i have taken the programme on and i know first hand how amazing i felt.

Only you can decide if a programme like the clean 9 is suitable for you, if you wanted more info on it or to buy one you can drop me a message in the comments.

So the programme is built around aloe vera gel, forever lite ultra shakes, forever therm, forever garcinia plus and also forever fibre, the pack come with the correct amounts for the 9 days and also a shaker, tape measure and literature.

The body is being purged of the bad stuff and your immune system is being inundated with good stuff, it’s nutritionally balanced and has a generous free food list.

So i started today and i must say i feel awesome, after being completely excessive over christmas i’m already feeling the cleanse get to work, i have so much energy and i haven’t been hungry yet. If i did get hungry i would just snack on a piece of free fruit or veg to tide me over.

I have to say this version of the clean 9 is so much better than the previous (hard to believe i know) but the variety in this version is unbelievable, i had my vanilla shake with some squished(technical term) raspberries, it was brilliant and because they were in my free food list it was fine ๐Ÿ™‚ Variety is the spice of life!!

So there we have it ladies and gentlemen day one is over, in reality days one and two are the hardest because the lack of a ‘meal’ but with the free foods list and everything else you have in the day you never feel like you’re going without which is awesome!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Peace x

Time for a change…

So for those who aren’t familiar with me, my name is Jay Smith and I reside in the beautiful South Wales valleys.

Im a trained drama professional who has worked all over facilitating drama projects and I am a network marketing professional with my own business under the umbrella of a global company.

The reason I have started this blog is to help me document my weight loss journey in 2015.

I very rarely, openly, discuss my weight as it’s been an ongoing issue for the best part of my 24 years existence but I think now is the time to do so and share my experiences going forward with the hope of keeping myself motivated and who knows perhaps inspiring one or two people to do something positive for themselves.

My weight peaked in late 2013 and reached a whopping 21st 7lbs, this was me at my biggest and at my lowest, I would delete pictures, hide tags on Facebook, I was always conscious of it and it was adversely affecting my life. I felt completely embarrassed and ashamed by the person I had become and it was wearing me down.

I had always thought of myself as being a ‘big-boy’ but when I realised I was classed as obese with a crazy BMI it then hit me, and with heart related issues pevelant in my family it was best to nip it in the bud!

In 2014 I had to make a change so between joining a slimming world group and also using the forever living range of supplements and a clean 9 programme I managed to get my weight to 18st – now I was feeling better, I met my beautiful girlfriend Gemma in the March of 2014 and she has been a constant source of support and inspiration for me.

Where am I now? Well I am now at 18st 12lbs and I feel if I don’t take control now then I could end up back where I was and that isn’t a prospect I enjoy the thought of, so enter my BLOG!!

I will be blogging regularly about how I’m getting on, testing out fun and interesting forms of exercise, telling you about my journey, sharing recipes, talking about the products I use and lots more – it really is to help me keep motivated and hopefully to inspire others.

The other reason is that myself and Gemma are planning a 6 month world trip starting September and I really want to make sure I am in a good physical condition to experience it to its fullest!!

Keep your eyes peeled for more posts and I wish you all luck if you’re heading down a similar road to me ๐Ÿ™‚
